Deborah L. Franklin, MA, Human Resources Director

A true Human Resources "generalist" with over 20 years of experience, Deborah gathered her hands-on experience from a variety of industries, from commercial and residential real estate development and construction to healthcare and government. Deborah has a proven history of building human resource departments, enhancing employee communications, being a collaborative, creative and innovative problem-solver, and is comfortable working in rapidly changing environments – all traits that will serve her well at the VCDD!

Most recently, Deborah was Director of Human Resources for the NJ-based Roseland Property Company, a private entity which specializes in the development, construction, and management of planned communities and luxury apartment rentals in MA, NJ, VA and NY. Prior to Roseland, Deborah was Vice President of Human Resources for Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, where she established the HR function for this publicly-traded NJ-based commercial Real Estate Investment Trust.

Deborah was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Wagner College in NY, and a Master of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from Kean University in NJ. Deborah is delighted not only to serve the employees that comprise the VCDD, but to also be a resident of the Villages, where she resides with her husband Keith.
